Rangers manager Ally McCoist has confirmed striker Michael Uchebo will not be moving to Ibrox.
The Nigerian joined the champions this week with a view to a trial period at Murray Park.
However, McCoist has decided not to pursue the player despite reports in the press claiming his Dutch club VVV Venlo had agreed a £1million fee.
"He came in and trained but he's left again and that was a club decision," he said.
"He came in and trained (on Thursday) but we thought it was in the best interests of us and him that he pursued other options.
"To my knowledge there has been absolutely no contact between the clubs, never mind a fee agreed."
