Amazayoni only just staved off the drop last season and have invested in a new squad to avoid a repeat in the 2010/11 edition of the Premier Soccer League.
March Eberle, Lottie Phiri, Brice Aka, Denis Onyango, Lehlohonolo Seema, Bafo Biyela, Bongane Twala, Marawaan Bantam, Joseph Henyekane, Walter Khumalo, Mpho Maleka, Walter Ramulondi, Sandile Zuke et al have signed deals with the club, but a number of the new recruits will not feature against Stars.
Both Seema and Henyekane are injury doubts while the public servants' strike means some foreign players have not received work permits.
Nonetheless, Aces are hoping a few permits will be granted, not least to their Cypriot coach Aiki Ayiomamitis.
Dinaledi also bolstered their squad in the off season, acquiring the services of Thuso Phala, Bongani Zulu, Phelelani Mpangase, Terrence Mandaza and Ryan Botha.
Owen da Gama has replaced Steve Komphela in the managerial hotseat and he is expected to field some debutants as Stars look to improve on a poor showing last season.
