Phunya Sele Sele will tackle Ajax Cape Town as part of a double header to usher in the new season on Friday. And the man who has been a number two for most of his career revealed that while he is quietly confident of a positive result, he is feeling the heat to start the campaign on a high.
"I think its going to be a tough one - based on Ajax's last performance against Sundowns," he said at a press conference at Cape Town stadium.
"I think they were outstanding, but we are quietly confident we can get a positive result."
Larsen will have Patrick Tignyemb, Nathan Paulse, Clifford Mulenga and Angelo Kerspuy all available for selection after the completion of their registration.
The quartet missed Celtic's MTN8 defeat to Kaizer Chiefs, but will provide a welcome boost to the new boss.
Meanwhile, Ajax coach Foppe de Haan will have a full squad to choose from as Nhlanhla Shabalala returns from suspension.
The Dutch mentor wants to see his men play more carpet football this season, starting against Celtic.
"I think Celtic looked very good against Kaizer Chiefs and it will be a tough game for us," he said.
"I want to play much more accurate football - no losing the ball, or running with the ball - we must pass the ball and play modern football - that is my aim."
