Ghana and Ivory Coast are apparently being lined up as opponents for England as part of the Three Lions' World Cup preparations.
A report in The Sun reveals that Fabio Capello is eager to test his men against African competition ahead of the tournament in South Africa next year.
The Black Stars and the Elephants both cruised through their 2010 qualifying groups and possess some of the biggest players currently plying their trade in Europe. The likes of Michael Essien and Sulley Muntari represent Ghana, while Didier Drogba and Kolo Toure turn out for Ivory Coast.
However, the friendlies will only be confirmed after the World Cup draw on December 5, to ensure that the nations are not in the same group as England.
An African side has been tipped to spring some surprises next year, with many of the Spanish players tipping Drogba and his team-mates as the ones to watch at the tournament.
