South Africa coach Carlos Parreira says Siphiwe Tshabalala's sterling form for Bafana is due to the winger's hard work in training.
The Kaizer Chiefs attacker was brilliant and on target in last weekend's 4-0 rout of Thailand and was arguably the country's form player of the March/April training camp in Brazil.
And naturally, Parreira is chuffed with the 25-year-old's progress.
"I watched Tshabalala play for Chiefs when I took charge of the national team last November and he was in and out of his club side," Parreira said.
"But he has really worked hard in our training camps (in Durban, Brazil and Germany). He is the one player who has never missed a minute of training.
"His hard work has paid off and to me he is playing more like a Brazilian player. His confidence has soared and he is scoring goals.
"He is in the best physical and mental shape of his career." Parreira concluded.
