Dipsy Selolwane and Fikru Tefera Lemessa netted for the hosts, while Walter Ramulondi bagged a late equaliser to give Matsatsantsa a scare at the end.

Botswana international Selolwane pounced on a loose ball outside the penalty area in the 26th-minute and hit a rocket past former SuperSport goalkeeper Denis Onyango, which flew into the top corner to open the scoring.

The one-goal cushion remained going into the half-time interval and on the 61-minute mark, Lemessa doubled the hosts' advantage.

It seemed Matsatsantsa would run rampant once they netted the second, but Aces showed some grit through new-boy Ramulondi.

He bagged a goal in the second minute of injury time and the visitors continued to press until the game was called in SuperSport's favour.

The result is crucial for Matsatsantsa who lost their opening game of the season to Wits and it leaves Aces without a win in two matches.
