Former Mamelodi Sundowns striker Phil Masinga says the team's new signing Richard Henyekane might struggle to make an impact at Chloorkop next season.
The former Bafana hitman believes the Brazilians should have signed a "big" striker.
"I wonder if Henyekane thought about this carefully, because in football you have to look at where you are going and whether you are going to play or not," he told Football365.co.za.
"I hear rumours that Katlego Mphela might leave to go overseas, but that's not a guarantee at the moment. We still have to wait and see.
"If he doesn't leave, I think the coach will stick with the Mphela/Mabhuti Khenyeza combination or if Mphela leaves, then I think it will be a good idea to sign a big striker to partner Khenyeza.
"For now I don't see a space for Henyekane in the team, but make no mistake he is a good pacey player, who is very useful but I'm just not sure if he fits in with the team," he added.
The former Leeds United frontman says Erwin Isaacs could have been a better option.
"I think that boy (Isaacs) has done really well for Santos and could add some bite in Sundowns' midfield to help the strikers.," he said.
"For me Henyekane is not an out-and-out striker so I don't know if this will work out. He is too similar to Khenyeza, both are busy players and I don't see their combination working out.
"With Mphela it was working because Mphela is a little bit bigger and could hold on the defenders while waiting to feed off Khenyeza, but we will see if it works out.
"I think Sundowns must get a big striker or an attacking midfielder like Isaacs," he concluded.
