SuperSport United can claim the title of runaway league leaders if they collect maximum points against Bloemfontein Celtic at Loftus on Saturday.
Matsatsantsa are sitting pretty at the summit and are seven points clear of the chasing pack after easing past Kaizer Chiefs 2-0 in midweek. Victory against Phunya Sele Sele will serve to strengthen United's search for a third consecutive championship, with many already feeling that Gavin Hunt's men are unlikely to be caught.
"It is going to be very difficult for anyone to catch them," former Bafana Bafana striker Shaun Bartlett told Business Day. "I think that United have got the momentum and they are getting the results."
However, Hunt is not 100 per cent pleased with his side, despite their status as the PSL's most consistent team.
"I am concerned that while we have been winning, we have not been playing well," said the coach.
"My struggle is to keep motivating the players and it is even more dangerous when we face teams like Celtic. The task of making them realise that Chiefs have come and gone falls on me."
United will be without Glen Salmon and Siyabonga Nkosi through injury, while defender Morgan Gould is a doubt. Tsietsi Mahoa returns to contention after serving a suspension.
However, Celtic defender Moketi Tsotetsi admits that the tie will be difficult no matter who is named in Hunt's starting line up.
"Look at the kind of team they have: anyone who comes off the bench is just as competent as the player who started," he told Backpagepix.
"Against Chiefs they replaced a fantastic player like Siyabonga Nkosi with Jabulani Maluleke and he came in and caused all the destruction setting up a goal and scoring another."
Phunya Sele Sele will be able to call upon Mark Mayambela, whose move to Orlando Pirates has been put on hold. Celtic CEO Ikie Augousti told Football365.co.za: "We have put it on hold. We have league games coming up and we want to focus on fighting for a top five finish."
Excellent Walaza will return from suspension for Celtic after missing the clash with Santos.
