Ajax Cape Town coach Foppe de Haan managed to find some positives after his men were dismantled by Orlando Pirates on Saturday night.
The Dutch mentor watched his side concede three unanswered goals against the Buccaneers at the Orlando Stadium after revealing that Ruud Krol was not a 'real coach' in Holland.
Despite his countryman getting the better of him tactically and Pirates schooling the Urban Warriors on the field, de Haan was not too worried about the defeat.
"It may sound strange but I was satisfied with a lot of what I saw. The first half produced good football from both sides. But bad defending gave Pirates their first half goal," he said.
"I spoke to the players at half time about conceding such goals but they did not listen and we conceded a second similar to the first after half time and after the penalty it was all over for us."
De Haan also revealed that he needs to add some substance to the 'carpet football' some of his men are determined to play.
"Some of the players want to play what I term nice football which means nothing. But there is plenty to work with and no need to panic as we will come right."
The coach was also adamant that Orlando Stadium is not a cursed ground for his men, who also suffered a 6-0 hammering against Golden Arrows at the same venue in the MTN 8 final.
"I do not believe in grounds being lucky or unlucky. That is part of football. If I did believe in that sort of thing then I would never change my socks," he concluded.
