SuperSport United head coach Gavin Hunt has dedicated his SAFA award for Coach of the Year to his players and management.
The double league champion received the award in a function held at the Sandton Convention Centre on Thursday night.
He has now won several awards as coach, but he tells Football365.co.za that it doesn't prove beyond reasonable doubt that he is one of the best in the country.
"Well, it is not about me, but the team. It is important that the team keeps doing well. If I can help more players from my team get into the Bafana Bafana team and help them win the PSL Player of the season and top scorer awards, that's what matters to me," the UEFA 'A' Licence graduate says.
The 2001/02, 2007/08 and 2008/09 PSL Coach of the Year was also honoured as the 2008 Sports Coach of the year, but insists it is as a result of his team.
"Like I said, the team comes first," Hunt insists. "For me, it is an honour and privilege to have won the SAFA award, but credit to my team," he says.
